Yellow Headed Day Gecko

About the Yellow Headed Day Gecko

These lizards have distinguishable features. A yellow head, a flattened body, a long snout and a turquoise back and tail. These features together with sticky toe pads, allow them to live on upright bamboo. They are dependent upon this plant as they use this plant to live on and lay eggs in.

They're  most active in the early mornings and late afternoons.

Habitat loss is affecting the bamboo forests that these geckos live in. They are also sought after for the pet trade.
