Accessibility
Drayton Manor Resort is proud to partner with Nimbus Disability, operators of the access card scheme who will now process all essential companion tickets and easy access eligibility.
You will now need to apply online through Nimbus Disability, at least 7 days prior to visiting.
Nimbus Disability will individually assess your needs, with the help of your supporting documentation and statements through their detailed application process, to determine if you qualify for a free Essential Companion Ticket or the easy access service. They will handle all your details safely and securely.
It is important to note that having a disability does not mean you will automatically receive this service.
Essential Companion Ticket
Once you have your Nimbus Access Card you can book your ticket as normal. To claim your Essential Companion Ticket present your card Nimbus Access Card to one of our ticket kiosks on the day of your visit.
Please note you will only receive a free essential companion ticket when accompanying a paying guest 4 years + and your access card displays the +1/+2 symbol.
Easy Access Service
If your Nimbus access card displays the difficulty queuing symbol, you will be eligible for the easy access service. Please present your card to our guest services department when you arrive.
We recognise that for some guests, accessing a ride via the conventional queue line can be challenging, either due to mobility issues or for example as a result of difficulties with everyday social interaction.
The easy access service will allow the disabled guest who is unable to use the conventional queue line enter the ride via the exit gate. In addition, one carer of the guest’s party will be entitled to accompany the wearer of the access band.
Please note this is not a fast track pass, it is for ease of access only. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THERE WILL STILL BE AN ELEMENT OF QUEUING.
The service cannot be used on The Haunting.
Ride Accessibility Information
The following should be read in conjunction with the Information Boards located at each ride and attraction which outline the rules, restrictions, and advisory information of each attraction.
Accessibility FAQs
The easy access service is a service which allows a service user and either +1 or +2 carers which will state on the Nimbus card to use throughout the day to assist with the queuing process. The easy access service does not allow immediate or unrestricted access to rides, there may be a short wait before boarding the ride.
You will need to visit the Nimbus website to apply for your Nimbus Access card, the link can be located here. Applications must be made 7 days prior to your visit date.
Once you have completed the assessment on the Nimbus website and received your Access Card, this will need to be presented in our Guest Services office which is located opposite the Bounty Pirate Ship. Please note the easy access service will not be available without the Access Card being presented.
The Easy access service allows the service user named on the Access card and either 1 or 2 additional guests (This will be dependant on the card status for an additional carer) to have unlimited access to exits throughout the day. This excludes the 4D Cinema and The Haunting. Restrictions will apply, please click here to view full information on the easy access service.
Once you have completed the online assessment via the Nimbus website this will advise how many carers will be able to use the exit of the facility with you. Unfortunately, we would be unable to add additional guests to the Easy access service for you.
