Starry Night Reed Frogs live in Eastern Madagascar.
Their diet consists of insects, eating small insects such as crickets and flies.
Starry Night Reed Frogs are thought to live between 5-10 years.
They breed in a wide variety of temporary and permanent waterbodies, including rice paddy fields. They lay up to 500 eggs at a time.

About the Starry Night Reed Frog
The Starry Night Reed Frog are named after their contrasting yellow and black pattern, which resembles the sky on a clear night and are often found sleeping on emergent reed-like plants near water. They are otherwise very variable in background colour- the same individual can change between pale yellows and creams, to browns, oranges and blacks. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical forest, rice paddy fields, garden ponds and river banks. They are most active at night but can be also seen hunting in the day if food appears.
